Marcia's second poetry collection is forthcoming from Four Way Books (Spring, 2019). 

The collection deals with Marcia’s long healing journey after a car/truck accident in 2006 left her with an MTBI (Mild Traumatic Brain Injury).  


An Artist's Journey of Recovery from Mild Traumatic Brain Injury

Marcia speaks to a variety of audiences about her experience with an MTBI to help raise awareness about this often invisible injury. She offered her solo presentation at Psychiatry Grand Rounds at Montefiore Medical Center (November, 2017), and for graduating medical students at the Clinician's Ear series at the Center for Biomedical Ethics and Humanities at the University of Virginia School of Medicine (April, 2018). Read more here.


"The Doctor Takes the Sailor's Historywas commended in the 2018 Hippocrates Open Prize for Poetry and Medicine (April, 2018). The poem will be published in the 2018 Hippocrates Awards Anthology.
